Quintin De Klerk is a seasoned Professional Civil Engineer with more than 25 years of experience in the construction sector. He is an experienced analyst of delays on construction projects with recent experience providing assessments for Arbitration and Adjudications on energy and infrastructure projects.

 

Previously Quintin served in various roles including contractor, designer, project manager, and senior corporate executive throughout Africa and the Indian Ocean region. Quintin possesses extensive and varied expertise in steel design and fabrication, as well as in construction and heavy industrial maintenance for the mining, mineral processing, and petrochemical sectors. His portfolio also includes the design and development of commercial residential estates, along with mechanical and electrical construction. For many years, Quintin specialised in the intricate storm water management and open channel flow hydraulic design of large drainage channels and storm water culverts, particularly in high-risk dolomite areas. With a proven track record in negotiating, interpreting, and implementing commercial terms in contracts, he effectively negotiates and resolves complex commercial and contractual matters among contracting parties.

 

Quintin integrates management, construction, and legal expertise to provide balanced assessments of project performance and objective evaluations of potential outcomes. He adeptly combines his knowledge and experience to deliver academic lectures at universities and professional associations throughout South Africa.
